"Shiloh has penned yet another adorable and charming royal romance!"--MELISSA FERGUSON, bestselling author of Meet Me in the Margins
Can she stop herself from falling before she's too far gone?
As a fashion aficionado and best friend of the queen of the African island country Ọlọrọ Ilé, Iris Blakely dreams of using her talent to start a sustainable clothing line to help citizens in impoverished areas and honor the country's resources. But when she discovers that Ekon Diallo--the man who betrayed her best friend--will be her business consultant, the battle between her desires and reality begins.
Ekon Diallo has lost everything: his princely title, his material possessions, his friends, and the respect of his fellow Ọlọrans. To pay for his actions against Ọlọrọ Ilé, he's forced to assist the charismatic Iris Blakely--but he can't allow his heart to distract him from regaining his status.
Though they come from vastly different worlds, Iris and Ekon are both determined to reach their goals, and the only way to do that is to work together--if they can just keep their hearts from getting in the way . . .

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
A disgraced prince falls for a rising fashion star in the sweet latest from Shiloh (In Search of a Prince). After 28-year-old Prince Ekon Diallo confesses his complicity in a scheme to stop Brielle Adebayo from assuming her rightful position as queen of Ọlọrọ Ilé in Africa, Brielle follows her Christian conviction in the power of mercy and hands him the relatively light punishment of revoking his title and sentencing him to 320 service hours as a business consultant for a fashion start-up run by Brielle's best friend Iris Blakely, so that he might help raise the international profile of the country's textile industry. Worse, Ekon's father takes away the servants and penthouse he had bankrolled for his son and forces Ekon to make his own way. Meanwhile, Iris is grateful to have Ekon's help, but his betrayal of Brielle makes her wary of him, no matter how attractive she finds him. Facing homelessness, Ekon confides in Iris and she helps him find a new place, learn how to cook, and realize what a privileged life he's led. However, he's reluctant to embrace Iris's belief in God until a family secret upends his world and leaves him yearning for answers. With a humorous touch, Shiloh cleverly updates the parable of the prodigal son, offering smart lessons on serving one's community. This Bible-inflected modern fairy tale charms.
Customer Reviews
A lovely story of God’s grace, love and mercy!
You know a book is great when the bad guy is redeemed in a way that the reader comes away grateful for God’s grace and mercy.
I liked Iris for the first book in the sequel. She has such an empathetic heart. She is free with her tears and shows vulnerability. I love how God used her for the Queen, Ekon, her family and the women in business.
I wanted to hit Ekon in In Search of a Prince. He was arrogant, disrespectful and selfish. Ms. Shiloh did a great job with Elon’s characters. You see a changed man who still had to face the consequences of his action. It is so reflective of our relationship with God. He will forgive the sin but sometimes the consequences still remain.
I received this book from the publisher and the reviews expressed are entirely my own.
Amazing Must Read!!!
What a lovely follow-up to In Search of a Prince! I loved Iris in the previous book and was so excited for her story! I found myself relating to Iris quite a bit, and her story was beautiful and everything I dreamed it would be! The hero in this book was awesome, and I loved his redemption story!
It was such a joy to return to this beautiful African kingdom, and I loved getting to catch up with Brielle!
As always I LOVED how naturally and authentically Toni Shiloh weaves the faith story into her books, absolute perfection!
I loved To Win a Prince and most highly recommend it, you could read this one as a stand-alone, but In Search of a Prince is fantastic as well, and you really don’t want to miss a single minute of this duology!
This quote from Iris really spoke to my heart:
“I believe because in my darkest time, God showed me who He was and how much love He had for me.”
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher.
My review was not influenced in any way. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.
Delightful Read
4.5 Stars What a perfectly precious modern fairy tale with an entirely different kind of prince! Toni Shiloh’s second royal romance is a delight to read! Iris is such a loveable character. She’s fun, she’s feisty, she's smart and she loves big. I wasn’t sure about pairing her with a rather unlikeable character from the first book, but Toni Shiloh penned a wonderful redemption story for Ekon. The setting of the fictional African island of Oloro Ilé adds to the beauty of the story.
I recommend this book especially for readers of inspirational romance that need a little royalty in their read!
I was given a copy of this book by the publisher. All opinions are my own.
