After moving to her eighth school because her brother got them expelled, again, Kaila Jenson makes a decision to enjoy her time in high school. Kaila meets an incredible guy, Josh, who she’s instantly drawn to. There’s only one problem, he has a girlfriend and she’s the captain of the cheerleading squad. With the aid of her new group of friends Kaila faces the challenges of falling for someone else’s boyfriend, while dealing with a mother who ran off with a younger man and a father who has no idea what to do with his children. Written in a way which is realistic, with the hilarity of high school situations everyone can relate to; and a dysfunctional family, which is seriously trying to look normal.
