Ward has taken this Friends-To-Lovers trope and put the ultimate twist on it in only the way she can do it. She is the ‘it’ factor author of slow burn romance and she has brought it in true fruition with ‘Toe The Line’. From the moment these two characters arrive at Whaite’s Island they have a magnetism unlike no other. Thinking Archie is a cocky jerk, Noelle learns otherwise after getting to know him on their summer vacation they form a true friendship but then they become so much more only to be torn apart before the even began. Will their stars ever align? Archie and Noelle, are so charismatic that to me they are the most powerful characters to date in all of Ward’s books. This book has you flipping through the pages and at the same time hoping it never ends. Ward is another one of my ‘one click’ authors and never disappoints in her books. Oh my god….. Penelope you have knocked it out of the park again….. the chemistry between archie and noelle is off the charts… i was literally crying for noelle… what she had to go thru with archie and just her being there for him thru out the years…. I don’t know if i could have gone to the wedding it would have torn me up just watching the man that i was in love with get married to another woman…. Well done…. Its amazing that a writer can get you into your feels…. Can’t wait for more!!!!!!
