Tom and the Flying Sofa

This book introduces us to Tom, an eleven year old boy who dreams about flying. His journey starts while he is visiting his Grandpa, who is a bit odd, but always full of surprises. Along the way he meets a dreamy cat, loyal geese, brave herons, a beautiful spider, and several other interesting characters. Each magical encounter takes him further along the path of life.
