Weapons Grade
It's true, Jack Ryan, Jr., suffers more injuries than a mere mortal would ever be expected to survive. But on the other hand, it's advertised as fiction and one heck of a good read.

Good follow-on to the series
I must agree - the brutal encounters for Jack, goes far beyond the tolerance of human capability. Of course, Jack needs to continue for the success of the series, but, maybe Jack could wear some form of high tech body armor to allow him to survive these encounters - or maybe he goes to an advanced medical facility that can make the necessary repairs.
