Tommy's New Barn Mates is a book that shares what might happen when there are new arrivals in a family. It was written to help counselors and parents talk to children about their feelings when they are no longer the only ones in the home. A new baby, grandparent(s), an adopted child, a foster child, a step child, cousins, or aunts and uncles may need to move in with a family. The book shares ways to cope with these situations and how to make the best of it, while realizing that they are still loved just as much as before the new arrivals came. There are discussion questions at the end of the book.
