Reardon Lewis is a small-town lawyer in Cherry Springs, the place where he and his cousins grew up. With the body of a Viking and the heart of a geek, Reardon is loyal to his family and indispensable to his community. The only thing missing in his life is love, and it just so happens that the one woman he has always wanted but could never have has just moved to Cherry Springs.
Chloe Zahn is a successful businesswoman, a city girl, and a single mom. The last thing she ever planned to do was move to a small town, but that’s the choice she’s made to bring her son closer to his dad. The only problem? The Lewis family and the obvious disdain they have for her.
The more time Reardon and Chloe spend together, the harder it is to fight their growing feelings for each other. Things between them have always been Too Complicated, but Reardon knows this may be his last chance to win over the woman he's always dreamed of, complications be damned.
Too Complicated is the second in an all-new small-town romance series by Bethany Lopez. Follow the Lewis cousins as they learn about love and loss in Cherry Springs, the kind of place where there are festivals for every occasion and everyone knows your business.

I love to read books in a series. I’m excited to start book 3.
5-⭐️ For the story. It hit me where I love!
4-⭐️ For Editing. A few grammatical misses, stopped the easy flow of the story..
3-⭐️ For Character “flow”. Chloe strikes me as a woman who would use ‘naughty words’ during sex with Reardon. However, it felt out of place for her to use such words out loud, even if she were alone and said them out loud in frustration or in her mind as she thought back to drunken wedding night extravaganza with Reardon.
It may just be me, but once I have the Character filled out in my mind, it kind of bumps me, like my car hitting an unexpected pothole, when something that is out of character is said or done.
Bottom line, despite my pickiness, this is, so far, a wonderful Series.
This is the second book in the Lewis Cousins series and while it probably can be read as a standalone, you will appreciate the characters and understand them more if you read book one first.
Reardon is an amazing character. I absolutely loved him in the first book but, defying possibility, his story made me love him that much more. Reardon is ready to settle down with someone who can appreciate his small-town life. He's the sweet, nice guy who prioritizes his family and loves where he's from. He has always thought of Chloe as the one who got away but doesn't know how to overcome all of the complications in their way. Chloe has been sacrificing a lot for her son and she now has decided to move to his father's small hometown so he can get to know his new family. There are so many things standing in the way of her and Reardon but their connection is so strong and it is obvious that they belong together.
I didn't think this book would top Too Tempting but there is absolutely no other character like Reardon. I am looking forward to reading about the rest of the Lewis Cousins!!
