What a wild read!
What a wild read! Bane is reeling from the death of his younger brother, essentially the golden child of the family, and when it comes out that he’s potentially fathered a child let alone had a secret girlfriend, he doesn’t handle things well. He goes after Halo, who has a terrible home and family life, and treats her horribly, especially when he says that the baby isn’t his brother’s even though he’s the only one who it could be. While these two really fight their feelings for each other in the beginning, they eventually give into their feelings and look at it as his brother bringing them together after he gets to know Halo for the pure soul that she is rather than the gold digger that he initially thinks of her. I really love reading Abbi’s books because these storylines are so intriguing because they are typical yet different and the twists and darkness, she adds to them just bring them up a level. Can’t wait to see who’s next from this branch of the family!
