Dhampyr transitions should come with a warning label.
Tasi, an eighteen-year-old dhampyr, read the chant that starts her final transition to immortality. Little did she know how those few spoken words would turn her world into complete chaos.
Now, in a race against time, Tasi must follow the quests given to her by a group of vampire-hating fae—known as the iele—all while they torment her mentally and physically. If she fails, it is a failure that results in her death.
Will the journey be too much for Tasi to withstand?
Is she mentally strong enough to earn her immortality?
What if her failures diminish any hope for her younger sister's future?
And the boy she's soul bound to . . . what happens to him?
Follow Tasi, as she sets out on her path that's going to test her strength, her will, her patience, and her tolerance for pain.

The journey to immortality comes with a price
Book three of the Dhampyr series finds Tasi on a journey of survival that will test her strength and internal fortitude. This book has a different feel than book one and two - those had Tasi fighting to protect her sister, Emily. In Tormented, Tasi has to complete the last transformation by going on different journeys, completing various tasks, and learning valuable lessons all while being under the scrutiny of the iele and their vicious Queen. With the help of her friends, Tasi travels to different countries trying to make sense of her visions. What she doesn’t know is that the queen has ulterior motives in regards to these tasks. I like seeing this be about Tasi and her journey to immorality. What will happen if Tasi gets to immortality? What are the iele really planning? What’s the price for living with the family she loves forever? Because we all know that there’s always a price to pay.
New take on half-vampires
I read all three books this one was quite different. It had less action but more inner turmoil. Watch out for the cliffhanger it’s a doozy. I’m enjoying the series so far.
