Actress Sophie Birch is used to having to look out for herself. So when her theater catches fire and a big guy scoops her up into his arms to save her, she's going to fight every step of the way. Even if he's a cop. And really sexy. And his arms feel oh-so-good.
Finn Kelly can't help but appreciate how good the woman in his arms looks in her sexy pink lingerie. Even if she's currently resisting arrest.
But as the two get to know each other, they're both surprised by the things Finn is willing to do to get closer to her. And when Sophie's estranged father arrives in town and starts causing trouble, the stage is set for disaster...unless Finn can convince her that, for once in her life, she has someone to lean on.
Nicholas's third Opposites Attract contemporary (after Forever Mine) is moving and inspiring. Actress Sophie Birch has always been a pawn in her father's schemes for financial security. She started acting at a young age after her mother died, has had five stepmothers, and was constantly moved around. She's up for her biggest role yet when police officer Finn Kelly saves her from her burning theater. Sophie's dad, who's a part owner of the theater, steals the insurance money, so Finn and his family help renovate the building, as acting there is Sophie's only source of income. Despite her distrust of families, she quickly bonds with the boisterous, close-knit clan, which is led by a clever matriarch. Just when she thinks she can finally be a part of a real family, Sophie's father tries to tear her and Finn apart. Nicholas successfully weaves the two families together while addressing their issues realistically, and Sophie and Finn grow together without sacrificing their own identities.
Totally worth it!
I received an arc of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I am a HUGE fan of Erin Nicholas! I have read all of the books from the Sapphire Falls Series and Taking Chances Series. I own the paper versions of the other two books in this series but I decided to read them out of order. I don't feel as if this was a problem for me to follow along with the story line so this book can be read as a stand alone. I really enjoy Erin Nicholas's writing style and how easy and quick her books read.
The 3rd and final book of the Opposites Attract series didn't disappoint me! I've loved Sophie since book 1 and I just couldn't wait to see her get her happily ever after. I had no idea what to expect with this book but it took me on a serious emotional rollercoaster! There were times I wanted to punch someone, throw my iPad across the room, laugh, cry, swoon and stick my head in the freezer (because it was THAT hot!). I felt ALL the feels.
I want a bestie like Sophie. Plain and simple. She is so sweet and giving and caring and wonderful even though she has every reason to live her adult life as a bitter woman. She rose above her childhood and she just rocks! Finn.......oh sexy, fix it all, steady rock Finn. He was so sweet. His love for his mother totally won me over at the beginning of the story, but it was his love and drive to take care of Sophie that had me melting. These two had chemistry that was so instant and hot, you couldn't help but root for them.
You're going to get a big loving family, serious sexiness, love, joy, happiness, anger (towards one specific character...grrr!) and so much more from this one. A fantastic read!
Fun & Feisty
Fun & Feisty! Erin Nicholas presents another Opposites Attract book with fun characters, feistiness, quick wit, and swoon-worthy sexiness. A bit different from her other books, but no less a wonderful story. Finn was a typical alpha cop, but with tons of sweetness mixed in. And Sophie had the feisty down pat! I loved the cops and firefighters on stage! And I definitely wanted to smack a certain character many, many times. This was a great series!
