Publisher Description

In the next installment of the New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series, follow Chaol on his sweeping journey to a distant empire.

Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the Captain of the Guard. But all of that has changed since the glass castle shattered, since his men were slaughtered, since the King of Adarlan spared him from a killing blow, but left his body broken.

His only shot at recovery lies with the legendary healers of the Torre Cesme in Antica--the stronghold of the southern continent's mighty empire. And with war looming over Dorian and Aelin back home, their survival might lie with Chaol and Nesryn convincing its rulers to ally with them.

But what they discover in Antica will change them both--and be more vital to saving Erilea than they could have imagined.

Don’t want this to end!

An intriguing way to flow new characters into what I assume is going to be an all out battle for the final book. This series is extremely well written and the suspense keeps you wanting more with each book!

Tower of Dawn

I might regret writing this so soon considering I havent finished this book yet, but 300 pages in and I feel like the story is going so slow. I feel like it was written to stop us from jumping right into the finale, sort of a “filler” to make the series longer than it should be. Although I appreciate the build-up and the stories of Chaol and Nesryn while being away from the others, I wish Maas had made this a bit shorter or perhaps a novella, and not dedicate an entire book that’s taking forever to wrap up. Still, I do recognize the threads that I’m sure will weave everything into place, especially the characters that seemed minor from The Assasin’s Blade. Maybe I’ll add more stars once I finally finish and decide that it was all worth it after all.
