Travel Photography 50 Top Tips

The first thing to understand about photography is that "it ain't rocket science." I started out as a travel writer who used to pay a photographer to travel with me until, one morning after he'd had a big night out and was too tired to work, I borrowed his camera and discovered it just wasn't that difficult. Now, 15 years later, I make a comfortable living from travel photography and I'd like to share some of the important lessons I've learned to help fast-track your ability to earn a living from your images or, at very least, give you some powerful tips on how to capture better travel pictures. I should add that these 50 Top Tips are not overly technical - in fact they are built simply around 50 of my best photographs, with details of the different techniques that were used to capture them and some invaluable lessons I've learned along the way (certainly, I wish someone had pointed these things out to me 20 years ago).
