New York Times Bestseller Dianna Love has a brand new series from the Belador world for first time readers as well as current Belador fans and it’s full of explosive reveals. Dragons didn’t just show up out of thin air centuries ago and not all of them died in the Dragani war.
Atlanta hovers on the edge of chaos and pandemonium as rumors fly about supernatural beings living among humans. Deadly preternaturals predators have been held in check for many years by the most formidable pantheons. One angry being has had enough and accesses majik of an ancient grimoire to release abominations capable of taking down the most powerful of humanity’s supernatural protectors.
As the dragon-shifter king over Beladors living secretly among humans, Daegan is tortured by having failed to save his loved ones two millennia ago when a vindictive goddess captured him. With a second chance at life, he’s vowed to protect his new family and destroy anyone who harms them. He’ll have to find all the parts of a grimoire divided up and hidden thousands of years ago for any hope of saving his captured people and a world ready to launch high-tech weapons to wipe out unnatural beings.
The entire human race has one hope of surviving what’s coming for them, but only if fear of the unknown does not drive the humans to kill their greatest protector first.
"...a fresh concept, complex world and unique characters ... emotionally engaging story full of twists." Publisher's Weekly (on Belador series)
"... an exciting, pulse pounding thriller ... I love Dianna Love’s writing, her wonderful imagination, and her ability to grab us from the start of each book she writes, and keep us there until the end.” The Reading Cafe
Great action and adventure!
This is the first book in the Treoir Dragon Chronicles of the Belador World series and it’s not about any one specific character but it’s telling the story of what’s happening in the Bellator world right now. It’s an exciting, action packed adventure with totally amazing characters.
There’s a lot happening but everything has its place and makes sense. Also, it ends with a huge cliffhanger BUT the books will be released monthly until the series is complete. I can’t wait for the next book!
I can’t wait for the next one!
Dianna Love and dragons? Yes, please! The Belador World is one of my favorites and I was jumping with joy when I found out Love was going to be diving into dragons. It's a dream come true. And to have so many of them come out so soon...*swoon*
This first book of the spin-off series in the Belador world perfectly recaps all that we have experienced so far. It's not all crammed out in some sort of summary in the first chapter. It's all strategically placed within a masterful story, which is just how I like it. So, if you haven't read any of the other Belador books, I think you would be fine starting here.
Poor Daegan. I feel like I just need to say that. After reading more about him and his past in this book, I think he is going to be one of the most complex characters out there. I long for what's to come, but at the same time, I'm dreading it as well. His story is not going to take him down Easy Street.
And Casidhe? She has my attention. I'm very intrigued to see where things go for her, to say the least. Love writes fierce female characters, and I'm going to go ahead and add Casidhe to my list of "Best Butt-Kicking Ladies."
So to sum things up without giving anything away. Thrilling story...check! Characters I can't get enough of...check! Fascinating legends, lore, and history...check! Moments that have me burning through pages while I'm on the edge of my seat...check! The feeling that the next one can't come soon enough...check! If you are afraid of getting hooked on another magnificent series, stay away from this one, because it will sink it's dragon claws into you quickly, and not let go.
I love the Belador world and all the wonderfully written books by Dianna. The book is well written with a great back story to fill in the blanks. If you have not read the Belador series I recommend reading first. As a fan I wanted more when the book ended. Looking forward to see what transpires next. Will defiantly read the series!
