Things are hidden from the reader
The author hid a great many things, then tied everything up far too neatly. It was quite good until the big reveal... What a disappointment.
Had high hopes
Had high hopes for this one because the cal leandros series is so phenomenal doesn't quite have the same magic but maybe it will get there.
