This is the book that the leftist elites don't want you to read: Donald Trump, Jr., exposes all the tricks that the left uses to smear conservatives and push them out of the public square, from online "shadow banning" to rampant "political correctness."
In Triggered, Donald Trump, Jr. exposes all the tricks that the left uses to smear conservatives and push them out of the public square, from online "shadow banning" to fake accusations of "hate speech." No topic is spared from political correctness. This is the book that the leftist elites don't want you to read!
Trump, Jr. writes about the importance of fighting back and standing up for what you believe in. From his childhood summers in Communist Czechoslovakia that began his political thought process, to working on construction sites with his father, to the major achievements of President Trump's administration, Donald Trump, Jr. spares no details and delivers a book that focuses on success, perseverance, and determination.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Trump Jr. debuts with a vitriolic screed against "liberal losers" and "Starbucks-chugging socialists in Brooklyn," combining a full-throated defense of his father's presidency with autobiographical snapshots likely to fuel speculation that he has political ambitions of his own. Sarcastically stating that he's "not mad" about special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 elections, Trump Jr. derides the inquiry for "taking nearly two years" when "anyone with half a brain could have done in five minutes." He snipes at many of the right wing's favorite targets, including the Green New Deal ("freaking stupid"), undocumented immigrants ("comparing today's illegal immigrants to the ones who built this country is ridiculous"), and safe spaces on college campuses ("don't get me started"). Trump Jr.'s memories of visiting his maternal grandparents in Czechoslovakia, learning to hunt and fish, and working manual labor jobs during summer breaks are meant to burnish his common-man bona fides, despite the fact that he grew up rich. Aiming exclusively at "Trump-supporting Americans," Trump Jr. delivers the snarky yet polished self-portrait he's been honing at his father's rallies and on Twitter for years. Loyalists will nod their heads in agreement; skeptics need not apply.
Customer Reviews
Exaggeration is not a convincing argument.
Some of the bad reviews here just sound ridiculous. I’ve only started reading the book but, thus far, Trump Jr. has a surprisingly good writing style. He’s rather witty and points out genuine strategic character flaws of those on the left.
Reviews that use words like “terrible,” or “the worst book I’ve ever read” clearly aren’t attempting to make sober arguments as to why they find the book so “triggering” (ironically).
We get it, some people hate the current president and attempts to return to self-government over the control-freaks’ assault on our constitutional republic.
Of what I’ve read thus far, this is an excellent, well-written critique of the nonsense that dominates the values of free speech-quashing authoritarian leftism.
Deal with it elitist statists.
Best book in 2019
So happy this came out! Donald Trump Jr. is a great writer, businessman, and citizen of this country. People are simply tired of the ongoing “hate Trump” on going media. Great book!
Excellent Read
The author tells it how it is. Unvarnished truth!
