Troubled Waters

Survival on Earth is sometimes difficult: survival on an exo-system is largely a matter of chance, no matter how prepared a team may be. Sometimes it is just a matter of time before the exo-system wins. In this anthology, four different stories present four very different perceptions of exploratory ventures on other worlds.

In 'For What We Are About To Receive", a castaway could really have done with his Man Friday. In 'Troubled Waters' a hardened veteran of the spaceways is humbled by an infant Korlatchian. 'Swamp Fever' shows the danger of complacency whilst 'Closing Gambit' is a paintball game given added – and deadly – impetus.
