Publisher Description
Meet Charmaine Digby, human lie detector.
Char's eager to put her ability to the test as the County Coroner's new investigative assistant. But she sure never expected she'd need her eye for lies to solve a murder!
Of course, that was before she was given her first assignment. Interview the hunky doctor reporting the suspicious death of Trudy, a family friend and one of several elderly patients at the hospital whose heart mysteriously stopped.
Coincidence? More likely, there's a murderer on the loose!
In hot pursuit of the truth, Char's on the case, much to the irritation of her cop buddy, who doesn't want her to stick her nose in his investigation.
But she had better keep her eyes open or the next body on the way to the morgue could be hers!

Trudy, madly
A good clean afternoon story. TKS dc
I would read more of the series.
Cute book. It kind of ended abruptly, but I enjoyed the story. I do wish the heroine wasn’t so self-deprecating. It was well written.
Trudy, Madly, Deeply
Good old small town living…except for the old folks who suspiciously die rather than get discharged from the hospital. Charmaine (of so many nicknames) is certain there is someone who is “helping” them onto the next plane so their caretakers can be relieved of their duties. But Char can’t get Steve, her neighbor, best friend, and police chief, to confide in her if he agrees or is even checking out the clues she tells him about.
What’s she to do? Especially when her great aunt may be the next victim!
