Trusted & True

Another great book in the Men of Haven series! I loved getting Danny and Callies story. It was so good to see Callie turn her life around and become part of the Haven family, not only through her sister Vivian, but also through Danny.

Danny is what I would envision what the guys would have been like when they were young and basically starting out. He's that Alpha male who's very protective, but also with that self doubt you see in someone younger. To have all the guys at his back makes him a lucky guy. I also really liked that his story was with Callie, another person who is starting out in a new life sober and finding her way.

This is one of those series that I hope will never end. I just really like the Haven world and all the men in it that I could easily enjoy many more books to come.

The Men of Haven are brave protectors who will do anything for their family and the women they love. “Trusted and True” is a very emotional and personal story for our characters and I was immediately wrapped up in Callie’s vow to seek her higher power if she was ever tempted to go back to her old life. I admired Callie’s determination to change, her desire to make amends to her sister Vivienne and her promise to help other women who have walked in her shoes. Danny is a self-made man who came from nothing, made a few wrong turns and found a family with his brothers. They may not be blood relatives, but their bond is one that will never be undone. He is close to his sister, is admired by his employees and would do anything for his brothers. Callie’s return to town was a complete surprise and when she stopped by his shop looking for a job, he was torn between giving her a second chance and protecting his brothers and their families. Offering Callie a job was important to him but he sensed his brothers wouldn’t agree with him, especially his brother Jace, who was married to Callie’s sister. Danny felt protective of Callie and could tell by her enthusiasm and beautiful smile that she was a new person; someone he wanted to get to know better. The Men of Haven series is very special to me and I was thrilled that Ms. Morgan had given Callie and Danny such a wonderful story. All of the Men of Haven are handsome, sexy and a bit mysterious. Danny has a nurturing and thoughtful side which appealed to Callie and made her feel that her life was worth something and that love was no longer out of reach. They showed each other that life was worth living when you have love in your heart, and your family on your side.

Well, this is so great! I cried, a lot. There is so much in this story. Love, hope, forgiveness and life. Danny and Callie really have huge hurdles to their HEA. Addiction is nasty business. This story does not shy away from these realities.
