A handsome stranger. A dead billionaire. A citywide treasure hunt. Tuesday Mooney’s life is about to change…forevermore.
Tuesday Mooney is a loner. She keeps to herself, begrudgingly socializes, and spends much of her time watching old Twin Peaks and X-Files DVDs. But when Vincent Pryce, Boston’s most eccentric billionaire, dies—leaving behind an epic treasure hunt through the city, with clues inspired by his hero, Edgar Allan Poe—Tuesday’s adventure finally begins.
Puzzle-loving Tuesday searches for clue after clue, joined by a ragtag crew: a wisecracking friend, an adoring teen neighbor, and a handsome, cagey young heir. The hunt tests their mettle, and with other teams from around the city also vying for the promised prize—a share of Pryce’s immense wealth—they must move quickly. Pryce’s clues can't be cracked with sharp wit alone; the searchers must summon the courage to face painful ghosts from their pasts (some more vivid than others) and discover their most guarded desires and dreams.
A deliciously funny ode to imagination, overflowing with love letters to art, from The Westing Game to Madonna to the Knights of the Round Table, Tuesday Mooney Talks to Ghosts is the perfect read for thrill seekers, wanderers, word lovers, and anyone looking for an escape to the extraordinary.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
This is one of those books that reminds us just how good fiction can be. Kate Racculia’s third novel revolves around Tuesday Mooney, a thirtysomething who is an outsider to everyone but two friends: her former co-worker Dex and Dorry, the teenage girl she babysits. When quirky billionaire Vincent Pryce dies, he sends the citizens of Boston on a treasure hunt of sorts—and Tuesday suddenly finds herself in the spotlight. While navigating through the puzzle of an old man’s dying wish, Racculia considers life, death, and yes, ghosts. If you’re looking to be thrilled, delighted, and schooled in the emotional truths of what life has to offer, Tuesday Mooney Talks to Ghosts is the book for you.

I am a voracious reader and I have not had a reaction to a book like I did this in a very long time. An incredibly original plot that seamlessly touches on such heady topics as abuse, loss, loneliness, love...while taking you on a rollercoaster ride of literary genius. Ms. Racculia is a very generous with her audience, giving us all characters so real you almost believe the fantastical storyline could happen.
I don’t write many reviews, but after recommending it to two friends already, I hope Tuesday Mooney Talks To Ghosts gets the recognition it deserves.
I have not laughed out loud while reading, in a long time. This story kept me reading long into the night. Absolutely first rate. I am eager to read whatever the author produces next.
