Just got back from a trip to County Galway and my boyfriend bought this for my iPad. The characters took me right back to one of my favorite places and I found the WWII angle fascinating. I'm not wild about war novels per se, but this is a whole other style - story-driven & very cinematic. I like that it's a series based on a single year in most everyone's granddad's "favorite war". Great read.
