Tumbling Blocks
Have tried to like this series, and there ARE good things about it. But too many times it feels like reading about immature teens. A 30+ girl who sticks her tongue out a people, fusses about wearing a dress, puts herself in danger thereby endangering others, and doesn’t mature much with each book.
Gabe started pursuing a higher degree, but gets too involved with former wife/partner, which makes him begin to appear as a flighty man.
In this book, he reverts to all-time selfish, petulant, thoughtless, and extremely rude.
The book’s setting was such a nice time of year…Christmas, family visiting her best friend and husband preparing for a baby, wonderful dogs,…but their maturity levels are a prime fail…especially the side we see about extremely thoughtless Gabe who has appeared weaker with each book.
So much for this series….really was eager to read it, but am stopping with this one. Benni and Gabe taking turns regressing to childishness has become old.
