Tumungo

Tumungo is a brown polar bear living on the North Pole with his family. Sometimes Tumungo feels different and wonders why his fur is not white like his brothers and sisters.

Tumungo's best friend is a Snowman named Bobo (who thinks he’s Jamaican). One day the ice cracks between Tumungo and Bobo and the adventure to save his best friend begins! He joins up with a seal and an Inuit. They go on a BIG adventure (82 pages filled with lots of colors and beautiful illustrations) to save Bobo the snowman! 


”Tumungo” is a joyful and well written ride between 3 friends who share thoughts about being/feeling different.

The Swedish author Minna Slottheden is dedicated in this matter and works with projects all over Europe concerning these type of questions. It’s based on a true story from life but in a fun matter. 

It's educating in a fun and cosy way about questions, that young and old people can have, concerning adoption, being left out and feeling different. 

The font text used is made especially for children with dyslexia since Minna herself had a hard time as a child in school battling her dyslexia. 

The book is recommended from the ages 3-9.
