Inspired by a father in naval aviation, living on air bases right next to their runways around the US and throughout the Pacific definitely played a big part in his dream to be a pilot. That dream would be slowed only shortly by the Vietnam conflict. However, the four years he would spend in the US Navy would prove invaluable to him in his future flying plans.
