Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is a classic science fiction novel written by French novelist, poet, and playwright Jules Verne, published in 1870. The story is about Captain Nemo and his submarine Nautilus, seen from the prospective of the Professor Pierre Aronnax after he washes up the ship with his servant Conseil and Canadian whaler Ned Land. They embark on the Nautilus to have a journey all around the world.
The story takes place in 1866, ships of several countries spot an unknown giant creature under the water. The US navy frigate Abraham Lincoln finds it and attacks it but get damaged and three people find themselves in water. The giant submarine which was assumed to be a monster takes them aboard. The captain is willing his autonomous submarine to be kept in secret, so the three are to decide whether to die or become the part of crew.
