Beautiful Book

Had the author and a few others not written their memoirs about Great Blasket an important part of Irish history would have gone missing. The author is a very natural storyteller and covers a lot about life in the 1st quarter of the 20th century on the isolated island off the SW end of Ireland. It's filled with ghosts, matchmaking, fishing and just boyhood mischief. The life is completely gone now; not a person remains. Fun book without much melancholy on the part of the author.
