Two Cribs, One Secret

"I'm losing the baby," she cried. "Matt, I'm losing our baby. It hurts so much, Matt. It hurts so much—"

Matt Smith is an earnest ER physician who has built a fragile new life with his recovering wife. When Olivia's newborn dies during an emergency delivery and she nearly follows, the hospital staff make a desperate choice: tell a lie to keep her alive.

Feeling he has no alternative, Matt takes the only living child available—a healthy infant born secretly to a frightened young woman named Zoe—and passes the baby off as his own.

But the theft buys time, not silence. Olivia notices details that don't add up. Zoe keeps appearing in the small town meant to bury the past. And as whispers close in, Matt must keep the ruse going without losing his wife, the child he loves, or his own soul.

How far will one man go to save a marriage before conscience catches up?
