Jam-packed
This is a wonderful interactive book with so many goodies inside. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a favorite in my family, so it was great fun to explore in the world of Wonka. There are lots of activities to enjoy with kids, embedded videos where you get to learn a bit more about what goes into his factory, beautiful artwork throughout. It's a sizable book, so good to read through a little at a time, and turn over to the kids to explore on their own. If you're a Charlie fan, this is a must-have.
Bravo! What a Wonderful Treat for Everyone
As a teacher, writer, and mother, I was delighted to find The Ultimate Guide to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Budayr constructs an imaginative world around the original tale by Roald Dahl. Inside the guide, children can explore, learn, and have lots of fun along the way. It's chock-full of innovative games, treats, and crafts that personalize the reading experience and encourage meaningful connections for the reader. The interactive map and multimedia resources are child-friendly, engaging, and lend themselves to collaborative play and engagement. The illustrations and designs by Roscoe Welpley are charming and enhance the feeling of jumping inside the pages of the book. This is a must-read and must-buy for parents and teachers. I plan to use it with my own students. It's a great example of multimedia learning at its finest. Warning: Be prepared to spend hours inside the pages of Valarie Budayr's book. There's a lot to see and do! :)
FUN!
If you have kids, grand kids, nieces, nephews, work with kids or are a big kid yourself, you have to get this book. It's fabulous and hours of fun!
