Ultrasonography Applied to Dermatology And Cosmiatry

Dermatological Ultrasonography is part of the recent history of world Medicine and, even more, of the

Brazilian.

Created by a group of physicians Ultrasonographers, Radiologists and Dermatologists, in October 2020,

the Brazilian Society of Dermatological Ultrasonography (SBUD) acts as a Commission in the Brazilian Society

of Ultrasonography (SBUS) and a Subcommittee in the Brazilian College of Radiology (CBR), having representatives in several states of the national territory. Standardizing the performance of these exams as a Medical

Act, promoting scientific technical improvement, establishing and providing the bases for Dermatological

Ultrasound, defending continuing medical education, focusing on scientific production and the exchange of

knowledge between medical professionals working in the area are the main SBUD missions.

From the beginning, SBUS showed itself as a great partner of SBUD, receiving our Commission, which

it designated as its 9th. Scientific Department, opening space in webinars and at the 25th. Brazilian Congress

of Ultrasonography of the SBUS for the Dermatological Ultrasonography Module and this book corroborates

all this.

In a work with renowned collaborators in the area, we seek to show a clinical and ultrasound vision,

ratifying the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, thus presenting a comprehensive and easy-to-read

work.

Receiving an invitation from Dr. Waldemar Naves do Amaral, Dr. Rui Gilberto Ferreira and Dr. Mauricio

Saito, whom I thank in advance, for writing and coordinating this publication, was an honor. Sharing this mission with colleagues that are dedicated to this fantastic new subspecialty has been rewarding work.
