Before History...

Umida has always been different. Born under a fiery sky, her fiery red hair and freckles set her apart from the people in her clan. Now, she's set apart in a new way.

One day, unthinkable tragedy strikes Umida's clan. She alone is left to care for the survivor: a baby bear who is badly in need of a mother. When Umida discovers that the bear she loves like a son will be sacrificed by her people, she must find a way to save him. 

Her quest will take Umida on a journey out into the great world of Stone Age Eurasia, where she will see that another way of life is possible. As she saves more than just one bear, Umida will finally understand the destiny laid out for her among the stars.
