From internationally bestselling author Julie Johnson comes an action-packed story of survival and forbidden love...
“When we crash-landed on the island, I thought my story was over. Turns out, it was about to begin.”
He was jerk from the first moment we met.
I took one look at the stranger in the airport terminal and knew he was exactly the kind of man my mother spent seventeen years warning me against. Gruff, grumpy, and far too good-looking to stare at without experiencing heart palpitations.
Thankfully, I’d never see him again.
Or so I thought.
I couldn’t have known our plane would crash.
I couldn’t have predicted we’d be the only survivors.
I couldn’t have ever, in my wildest dreams, anticipated that the a*****e from the airport would become my only source of solace in the darkness.
It’s so wrong to want him, for so many reasons. But as the months slip by and our hopes of rescue grow dimmer… the spark between us kindles into something impossible to ignore.
Sometimes, survival requires swimming in uncharted waters.
But if salvation doesn’t come soon…
I might just drown in him.
** UNCHARTED is a full-length story of survival and forbidden love. Due to action elements, adult language, and sexual content, it is recommended for readers ages 16 and up. **
In this unusual but thoroughly enjoyable contemporary romance, Johnson (Like Gravity) pairs a teenage babysitter and a moody photographer who survive a plane crash at sea. Seventeen-year-old Violet Anderson is embarking on the journey of a lifetime: a summer spent nannying in the South Pacific. Her first encounter with acerbic photographer Beck Underwood comes at LAX over a mistakenly claimed bag, and when she finds out he's traveling on her flight, she's not happy. But soon Violet wishes that was all she had to worry about: the private jet crashes in a remote area of the South Pacific, taking all but three of the plane's passengers to a watery grave. After days of drifting, Violet, Beck, and their severely injured companion end up on a deserted island. The author skillfully weaves a narrative that avoids clich . Though the story is more survival than romance and some of the details are gruesome, the reader can't help but be captivated by Violet and Beck, their explosive chemistry, and their dramatic tale. I need more
I need to know where their story goes from here. Couldn’t put it down such a good read.
Love love loved this book I didn’t put it down as i was reading it!! I need more of these characters!!
If I could give this book all the stars Violet and Beck see from their island, I would do so without hesitation.
From start to finish, each sentence in Uncharted is woven together seamlessly in a way that can only be found between the pages of a Julie Johnson book. The way she writes, the ease with which she can make a story come to life, is truly remarkable.
Make no mistake, this book is so much more than a typical love story. Uncharted is a love story perfectly wrapped in a tale of survival that you’ll lose yourself in and be so glad you did. While the chemistry and heat between Violet and Beck is enough to incinerate your ereader, that’s only one layer of the story. It’ll make you laugh, cry, scream at inanimate objects, want to hug each character, want to smack each character, and everything in between.
Seriously, look no further, make Uncharted your next read (and while you’re at it, go ahead and read EVERYTHING else she’s written if you haven’t already because they’re all top-shelf reads too!) - you won’t be disappointed!
