Uncle Remus, his songs and his sayings

    • 3.8 • 6 Ratings

Publisher Description

Uncle Remus is a largely sympathetic look at post-war plantation life. Uncle Remus himself is a warm, folksy man of good humor and dry wit, and after finishing his animal stories, the remaining sayings and tales are a moment of history frozen in amber.

HanaImakura ,

I LOVE this book!

I recommend this to anyone who enjoys fairytales/folktales. I also recommend it to all of my fellow hardcore Walt Disney fans, especially those who have seen Walt Disney's "Song of The South". Uncle Remus is just as much of an enchanting storyteller here as he was made out to be in the film, maybe even more so. Even so, anyone can enjoy the timeless, sweet, horrifying and hilarious situations that Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear get into. Definitely give this book a read. :)
