Best Ever
As usual, Diana Palmer has outdone herself!
Sloppy
This book made me shake my head from the start. The author jumps from present to past mid-paragraph, with no segue, in multiple instances, which is jarring and confusing. Her jumps back and forth aren’t always consistent either - small details are changed or repeated as if they’re new information, which adds to the confusion. The worst, for me, was the boating accident. With all the talk of cell phones and laptops, one assumes the story is told in modern times. Anyone with experience of modern speedboats knows they’re all made of fiberglass, haven’t been made of aluminum (or any material that could dent) in over 20 years. A fiberglass boat could not possibly get a dent that could be popped out as mentioned in the story. And the thought of 2 boat operators (sober and in broad daylight) being so negligent or absentminded as to completely overlook each other until they were close enough to crash and not see it coming, not to mention the result of the crash, is so terribly unrealistic. It ruined the whole story for me.
