Understanding the Dementia Experience
I've been looking for something straightforward yet 'simple' enough to help me get a better understanding of Alzheimer's disease, what to do and how to conduct myself when interacting with a lady who has in the past two years become a new friend. It wasn't so difficult interacting when I first met her but in the last year her decline has made it more so; which is somewhat unsettling for me and probably for her also, judging from what this book tells me.
This one simple book has opened so many new avenues of understanding for me that I don't think there will be any reason to feel unsettled anymore when she and I visit.
To this Author I like to say;
"Thank you so very much for being able to explain such a difficult disease with such profound clarity!"

I very much needed to read this book in order to understand my dad. I will have patience forever.

Thanks so much for this info. Much of it was validation of what I am finding in my own situation. Great insight to many problems!
