I really could have made it through life without reading this book. The first one was so good and left a great cliff hanger and then this one.. it’s like a repeat of the first book with a few new details added in. It was like a pointless 150 pages of reading and I feel like I could have skipped this one and gone from book 1 to book 3.
I give it 3 stars because the writing is good. I finished it in two sittings and the author portrays each scene very clearly. I kept reading thinking that it would get to the point but no luck.
If you read book one, you pretty much have read book 2. The first book is Janelle’s point of view and the second book is from Ben’s. It’s like the whole first book over again but from Ben telling his side of the story and then an added ending to start book 3. Yes there were new parts like Ben’s life back home, but not enough new parts where the book could stand on its own.
