Things Paige Morrison will never understand about Mirabelle, Florida:
Why wearing red shoes makes a girl a harlot
Why a shop would ever sell something called "buck urine"
Why everywhere she goes, she runs into sexy-and infuriating-Brendan King

In no time at all, Brendan helps Paige find a new job, new friends, and a happiness she wasn't sure she'd ever feel again. With Brendan by her side, Paige finally feels like she can call Mirabelle home. But when a new bombshell drops, will the couple survive, or will their love come undone?
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
In Richard's transporting first Country Roads contemporary, a city girl tries to adjust to smalltown life. After losing her job and her boyfriend in Philadelphia, Paige Morrison moves in with her parents in Mirabelle, Fla. Paige immediately gets off on the wrong foot, defensively assuming that everyone thinks she's "an amoral, promiscuous pothead," but mechanic Brendan King isn't thwarted by her prickly behavior. Brendan easily wins Paige over with his charming smile and easygoing manner as he helps her find employment and introduces her to the town's charms. The romance between Paige and Brendan is sweet and subtle, complete with moonlit kisses, sunny beach picnics, and little touches and glances that slowly rev up their mutual attraction but gossip and tragedy threaten to disrupt their happiness. Richard's page-turner marks her as a contemporary romance author to watch.

This story was beyond amazing. I fell in love with every character and I cannot wait to read the next story. I would recommend this series to everyone! Amazing read!
A sweet story of a small town love affair
I truly enjoyed this book. I came across this book after reading The Redemption of Callie & Kayden. I have read reviews from other people on GoodReads about this book and the majority did not like the book. I decided to purchase the book anyways and make my own opinion. Glad I did. I really did love the story. I liked how this was based in a small town with some people in town that were too nosey and opinionated for their own good. I loved how Paige stayed true to herself through her art and how she dressed even though some people did not like her and freely expressed it on more than one occasion (including voicing it through various media rich formats). Brendan was a great man who I fell in love with. I loved seeing how he fell head over heels in love with Paige and how he pursued her but still didn't just attack her and go all caveman on her. It was actually nice seeing how they waited for quite awhile before having sex. I like the character development for all of them in the book. When I think of a small tight knit community, I can totally envision this book coming to life.
I would definitely recommend this book and can't wait for the next one in the series with Grace and Jax.
Frustrating...
It was ok ... Predictable ...typical love story ... No WoW factor ... Kinda had to force myself to finish reading it since I already paid for it.... So it was just ok. Some parts were good other parts were just frustrating. Especially how Paige was ready to walk away from her marriage so easily she was ready to throw it all away over nothing ... and it didn't make since that Brendan was coming over almost everyday to check on Paige and her mother waited to tell her after 2 weeks ... And how Paige never stood up to anyone she was such a weak character she could have had least a little fight in her especially after the author portrayed her as a feisty woman... Which was one of the main reasons Brendan fell in love with her but the author failed to truly capture that in her
