Publisher Description
This book explains why some missionaries are being led to reject the missional models and many of the methodologies which are the most widely accepted by North American evangelical missionaries working in France.
The author demonstrates that the evangelical Protestant missionaries' witness for Christ in Western Europe is often ineffective because their governing missional paradigm and their ministry methods, working in conjunction, tend to project a separatist image and isolate them from those they wish to influence for Christ.
The author argues for the development of a missionary spirituality based upon the kenosis and an understanding of Christian unity based upon the perichoresis
Customer Reviews
Wow!
Wow, this book is a 'shot across the bow' for anybody looking to engage in French Ministry.
Thank you David Bjork for your candid, unapologetic, account of the work you were engaged in.
The text of the book itself was good though I believe the best was saved for last -- the appendices.
The letters you included from the bishops and fathers as well as your responses to them are invaluable. The personal testimony you included was edifying to read.
God bless you and all who step forward to carry the cross of French ministry.
