APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
We’ll follow Patricia Cornwell’s forensic expert hero Kay Scarpetta into any investigation, no matter how weird things get. During her investigation into the grisly deaths of a pair of campers, the Virginia chief medical examiner discovers that the dead couple are actually Huck and Brittany Manson, owners of a popular outdoor and sporting goods store who became conspiracy-driven survivalists. As Scarpetta and her team race to find out the truth of what happened—including figuring out the deal with that giant footprint in the middle of the crime scene—they get tangled up with enemy governments, dueling federal agencies, anti-government splinter groups, and media sensationalists. Even if you’ve never dipped into this thriller series before, you’ll be hooked within a few pages.
Customer Reviews
Another Thriller from Cornwall
Well paced and easy to read, but hard to put down. Another Cornwall thriller perhaps without as many of the suspense surprises we’ve become accustomed from her.
Highly enjoyable. Well worth your time.
A good story
