Intense
This one has lots of good detective work by Scarpetta, gruesome crimes and descriptions and some closure for Scarpetta-maybe.
Good read but…
I gave this five stars because Patricia Cornwell sure knows how to write a book. My only exception with this novel is that Tangier Island not a bunch of feckless morons. My grandparents are from there as are my mom, they are a very isolated and religious group, but extremely hard-working and smart. They have a old English cockney accent that they brought over from Ireland in England. My cousins still live there. I spent all my childhood summers there, what precious memories. And, the mailboat runs year round from Crisfield.
Perfect time to re-read this
