Publisher Description
Just when she thought life had settled into something small and solitary, Rachel Mansfield trips into something far bigger.
Called to the emergency room to interpret for a deaf child, Rachel expects another routine assignment. Instead, she meets a frightened, abandoned little girl with nothing but a note and nowhere to go. The connection between them is immediate and undeniable, and what starts as concern quickly deepens into something Rachel hasn't had in a long time: a sense of purpose, of being needed.
Then Lily's uncle arrives.
Garrett Staker isn't looking for family. He'd walked away from their betrayal years ago and never looked back. Taking in the niece he thought was gone forever was not part of the plan. Neither was the temporary necessity of hiring the distracting woman who challenges him at every turn.
Despite an undercurrent of attraction, Rachel and Garrett are at odds over Lily's future. But as dangerous secrets from the girl's past surface, they find that working together might take them down a path that neither of them expected.
Because sometimes, real family isn't the one you're born into.

Unspoken Bonds
I received a copy of this book from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.
An extremely heartwarming tale about love and endurance that pulls you in till the final page and has you wishing for more.
Good but
I liked the book but it’s supposed to be a healthy dose of edge of your seat murder mystery. No such thing. It’s like almost the entire book you keep waiting for the mystery to happen and it was like an afterthought a few pages before it ended. I also did not enjoy the back and forth yes no between the two. Today he is nice to her and the next day he needs to keep their distance and is nasty. That was not fun to read.
