AMAZING
Masterpiece. This has left me jaw dropped and absolutely astonished. Truly the greatest horror I have ever seen.
More to be desired…
Beautiful artwork with some genuinely disturbing moments. There are also some truly thought-provoking critiques about humanity. I just think the story and characters fell flat. I didn’t feel fully invested in them because I didn’t know the character or her intentions well enough. She just reacted to everything happening or just happened to be around when things were happening. She felt like a device to help move us through the mystery of the town’s horrific chaos unfolding. The main character, ironically, seemed to be unreasonably unconvinced for too much of the story. And I’m not sure of any significant arch she had by the end.
Stunningly horrifying
This truly feels like a nightmare, but in the best way possible. Some images from this book will be seared into my mind for years to come. I highly recommend this for any horror fans!
