Confused and Concerned
Okay the reason why I didn’t like this book was because I downloaded it think it was a mafia romance. WELL ITS FRICKING NOT! It’s a story about this random professor who watches a FBI agent almost die, and then he saves him. Then he also saves a doctor whom he’s in love with, then they try to take down the vampire mafia (who aren’t even described as attractive btw). I just feel so angry! I was so excited for a hot mafia guy who is also a leader of the mafia to fall in love but that isn’t the case and I just feel so betrayed. However if you aren’t expecting that, then this is a good book even though the whole vampire thing is just kind of thrown in there and it more seems like they’re wizards because they perform spells (but like the humans also perform the spell so like it doesn’t make sense! And I’m confused and betrayed!) although it wasn’t that terrible just the vampire part was strange (I think it would have been better if it was more explained) and the romance was just kinda awkward, but the fight scenes were decent (although the logistics were confusing at best- a human vs a very old vampire, the human isn’t just going to oops stab you in the heart with a crucifix) like what!
