The Dark Protectors are Back!
Vampire Ronan Kayrs wasn’t supposed to survive the savage sacrifice he willingly endured to rid the world of the ultimate evil. He wasn’t supposed to emerge in this time and place, and he sure as hell wasn’t supposed to finally touch the woman who’s haunted his dreams for centuries. Yet here he is, in an era where vampires are hidden, the enemy has grown stronger, and his mate has no idea of the power she holds.
Dr. Faith Cooper is flummoxed by irrefutable proof that not only do vampires exist . . . they’re hot blooded, able to walk in sunlight, and shockingly sexy. Faith has always depended on science, but the restlessness she feels around this predatory male defies reason. Especially when it grows into a hunger only he can satisfy—that is if they can survive the evil hunting them both.

Ronan and Faith
With Vampire’s Faith, we return to the Dark Protectors world along with Ronan Kayrs. Ronan has been in another dimension for many years. When his part of the protective wall fails, Ronan wakes in a world totally unfamiliar to him, and to his mate. Faith is a scientist, a doctor. She is having a hard time believing that Ronan is sane, let alone that he is a vampire and she is his mate. These two make a great pair. Challenge is a good word to describe their relationship.
This installment of Dark Protectors is a familiar enough that the reader glides right back into the Realm and its fight against evil. The Kurjans are still here and scheming against the vampires. We get a glimpse of familiar characters and a hint of what has been happening in the Realm. The characters are strong, determined, and protective. The story is a page-turner – exciting, intense and dangerous. Vampire’s Faith is a winner, an excellent addition to the series.
I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The review is my own.
Fun, fun, fun
This is definitely one of my favorite worlds. Of course my favorite vampire is Talen. Irreplaceable. With that said, Ronan is pretty good. I laughed so much. He reminds me of Conlan. Faith drove me crazy. I will admit, I did skim through her nonsense while reading the last couple of chapters. I did not understand why they never went to the King. I understood, but they needed help. I just thought they would seek it.
Per usual, so much going on in this world. I do not believe Hope is going to have an HEA with Drake. I think, like Janie, she wants good things for everyone. Drake may not be as crazy as Kalin, but he’s already trying to manipulate her. Hope thinks he’s cool and Drake wants to be like his dad.
I’m hopeful now that Grace is awake, she will be perfect for Adare. I’m being very vague because I highly recommend this book. Forewarned, Faith is extremely annoying, selfish and very much TSTL, but be patient. The other characters are amazing.
This is the first book in Rebecca Zanetti’s next DP saga and I can not wait to read more. The world building and new characters mixed with past characters from the Dark Protectors series is very exciting.
Dr. Faith Cooper specializes in coma patients and has a gift at bring them out of their coma state. With everything she knows and her secret weird gift she can’t help the one patient that means the most, her sister Grace. When she’s checking a patient and he suddenly wakes and knows her name she’s surprised because she’s never met him before.
Ronan Kayrs “The Butcher” a member of The Seven and an ancestor to the Realm gave up his life for the protection of his people. He's been imprisoned in a dimensional bubble for centuries to guard the evil Kurjan shield, Ulric. Somehow his bubble was broken and he awakens in this new and very strange century. The first person his eyes meet when he comes out of his coma is the one he’s dreamed of, his mate, Faith.
The word is out that The Butcher is alive and the Kurjan and Cyst are after him. He must protect Faith, find his brothers of The Seven and learn this new world of carts moving with out horses, huge buildings and Siri.
Faith wants to save her sister so badly she doesn’t know who to believe, Ronan the male who makes her finally feel safe or the Kurjan’s who offer her a possible cure. Science and emotions do not mix in Faith’s world, can she trust Ronan and the unbelievable world she never knew existed or stick with what she sees and science as she knows it?
This book is nail biting suspenseful, funny, heartbreaking and sexy as h$ll. Ronan is a century’s old alpha male and Faith is a modern woman who does not like to be told what to do. It was fun to sit back and watch these two bump heads and find their way through this mating.
