Publisher Description

New York Times bestselling author Lauren Oliver delivers a raw and heart-pounding story, perfect for fans of E. Lockhart's We Were Liars or Gillian Flynn's Sharp Objects.

Dara and Nick used to be inseparable, but that was before the accident that left Dara's beautiful face scarred and the two sisters totally estranged.

When Dara vanishes on her birthday, Nick thinks Dara is just playing around. But another girl, nine-year-old Madeline Snow, has vanished, too, and Nick becomes increasingly convinced that the two disappearances are linked.

Now, Nick has to find her sister, before it's too late.

In this edgy and compelling novel, Lauren Oliver creates a world of intrigue, loss, and suspicion as two sisters search to find themselves, and each other.

Confused 🧐🧐🧐

It was a really get book but the ending was kind of confusing to me but I still think that you should read it!!!!

Tragically Beautiful

I’ve read a lot by this author (it’s all really good) but I did not see this twist coming until that last little bit before the reveal.

I’m rereading the whole thing with the new perspective and really excited to do so.

Even if you don’t feel compelled to read this twice, you won’t be disappointed to read it once. Such a well written story.

Twist?

Really well written when it comes to how the characters are painted. I enjoy the way she makes you feel so many emotions while you are reading, almost like you are experiencing what the girls are experiencing. However I knew the ending and the “twist” right away. Which was a major disappointment because I kept hoping I was wrong. And I feel like the plot of the story wasn’t defined. There was sort of three, One about the sisters and a sub-plot about the underage girls, and then the missing girl?! it’s a little all over the place. But still a fun read!
