Varmints Lurk

It has been several weeks since anyone has heard from Martha Simmons, a resilient, out-going, wildlife enthusiast. She lives alone on the fringe of a nature preserve near Houston, Texas. Martha’s sister and teenaged nephew, Nancy and Justin Grimes, have tried to contact her, but to no avail. Justin is compelled to recruit his new attraction, Allison Kepler, to join him on a secret and potentially harrowing night time escapade to find his missing aunt. Should Allison venture out into the woods with Justin, and doesn’t Justin know that in the woods VARMINTS LURK behind every corner? Varmints Lurk is Book One of the Trials of Life series and is set in the early 1980’s. This saga portrays many challenging events as Justin struggles to grow up in a world of unexplored tragedies.
