A Fresh Approach to Vibrato
This vibrato book presents a series of exercises that teach students how to listen and analyze the vibratos of their violin heroes and break them down into their essential, quantifiable components, then methodically practice in incremental steps to achieve the same amplitude and speed of vibrato of any given passage. It emphasizes the uniqueness of every vibrato and teaches students to learn flexibility and consistency needed to apply unique speed and width to fit each passage within a piece, as called for by changes in dynamics and tempo. This book is a fresh approach to an old problem. Any teacher looking for another teaching method for their toolbox should incorporate this method into their teaching and recommend their students buy the book of exercises. Any older beginner to intermediate player should incorporate this into their practice, whether or not their teacher assigns it. This is completely different than anything I have seen before.
