Violet

When his best friend is shot, Cal MacDermott knows that the key to saving CJ lies in a promise made nine years ago. A promise made blindly, because neither he nor CJ could have known then how the promise could be fulfilled. CJ's final words to Cal as the paramedics rush in, are a plea to find a girl, the girl who stole his heart, and tell her to wait for him, tell her she could be Violet, she could be anything she wanted.

Cal will go to any length to save his best friend. Keeping his promise means facing his past, facing a crippling loss, fear and insecurity. Cal must open his heart and risk getting hurt to prove that fate is real, promises matter and love can heal his best friend.
