Visualize Ideas: How to use charts the right way

Good presentations are illustrated, graphically appealing and perfectly complement the words being expressed. Unfortunately, too often we experience the opposite: Slides which are so “clogged” with text that they could actually replace the speaker, a presenter who reads the text from the slides one by one, ugly gray areas, cheap clipart images and brash text effects.

A well-made visualization makes ideas understandable and plausible. You can win over the audience immediately and trigger the desired impulse to action in a split second. It gives the impression of competence and professionalism. It’s visually pleasing, whether it contains numbers diagrams, structural elements, graphics, photos or videos. A well-made visualization provides structure and assurance and makes thoughts comprehensible. It facilitates listening and simplifies complexity.
