“The Atlantic Monthly”, also known as “The Atlantic” is a monthly magazine has published literature and commentary since 1857. It was founded by a remarkable group that included some of the towering figures of nineteenth-century intellectual life. Starting from the first issue and continuing until the present day “The Atlantic Monthly” has a permanent success. It has been noted for the quality of its fiction and general articles, contributed by a long line of distinguished editors and authors that includes James Russell Lowell, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and Oliver Wendell Holmes.
