It all started with a kiss...

Lacey Ryan's perfect life was well underway, until her fiancé blindsides her with a betrayal so deep it changes everything. Now her life's gone to hell, and the only way out may be at the hands of the last person she'd have expected to come to her rescue, Tristan Keys—the deliciously sexy player she's fantasized about her entire life.

Sure he's arrogant, cocksure, and frustratingly handsome, but he's also offering exactly what she needs, a fresh start planning destination weddings. First class flights, the chance to see the world, and maybe a little harmless flirtation while she's at it. Yes, it's just what she needs.

Only there's one glaring problem: Tristan happens to be her brother's best friend. Which means he is completely off-limits. She knows it, he knows it. It's completely forbidden. Even though she's always followed all the rules, suddenly Lacey find herself wanting to break them all. Is he worth the risk? Or will he only break her heart—and possibly her bed springs? There's only one way to find out, and it's going to involve a lot of suitcase packing, merlot and chocolate

Four stars ... with an understanding

Ok, I debated in this one as I really hate cliff-hangers and that's how these stories end. At the end of the day, however, I decided to give it the 4th star since I knew going in that there wasn't going to be a definitive HEA. Yes, the nature of a serial (there's gonna be another 4 books in this case) requires that there be excessive twists and turns / complexity in the relationships and some may find that off-setting. If you do, subtract a star (and if you simply cannot handle cliff-hangers then subtract a second star) but, having said that, theses books were fun with their descriptions of different locations (adding things to see in my bucket list as they were so well done) and well crafted development of the characters. So, if you go in with eyes open, knowing not to expect the definitive HEA but ready to enjoy the ride then these will be worth reading, fun books, and on that basis I easily recommend them.

Short and sweet!

This book is Sydney: A Wedding Planner Romance written by Maggie Way. It's a great book except for how short it is....but I guess you have to start somewhere, right? Its a great beginning to a wonderful series! I received a complimentary copy and voluntarily chose to leave this review.

How It All Began

Overall this set is 3.5 stars. This review is for Books 1-3 of the Entangle Me series. This box set should not be read as a standalone and each novella should be read in order. Please note that each of the books are short quick reads. I read these books individually and since they end in cliffhangers, I like that you can go to the next book right away in a set like this.

The characters and settings are well described in the blurb for each book and the entire set, and I'm not going to recap that in my review. Please read the blurb for more info on Lacey and Tristan. The descriptions of the locations are vivid and make me want to travel to see them. The storyline moves fairly fast. I really enjoyed these novellas and the entire storyline.

Sydney. The series centers on Lacey who is a wedding planner based in Sydney, Australia. The author did a good job of setting the stage for the series two main characters, Lacey and Tristan, and additional books in the series. This is a quick predictable read but filled with real emotions and explanation of their past background. I look forward to reading more of this series and finding out more about what made Tristan return to Australia.

Amalfi Coast. Lacey and her assistant Gabe travel to the Amalfi Coast of Italy for her friend Amelia's wedding. Lacey has anxiety over flying and being up high on the cliffside at the hotel. The descriptions of the Almafi Coast are vivid and make me want to travel there. I look forward to reading more of this series as well as more about the evolving relationship between Tristan and Lacey.

Bangkok. Tristan joins Lacey and her assistant Gabe for a destination wedding in Thailand. Lacey still has anxiety over flying and being up on a high floor at the hotel. I look forward to reading more of this series as well as more about the conflicted relationship between Tristan and Lacey.
