I felt like I was reading WEB Griffin again! Jack brings back the “feel” that Griffin had for the military life. His own experience as a Naval Academy graduate shines throughout the book. I felt like I was walking through Annapolis as a cadet. Well done- I’m grateful that the series has been resurrected.

The crossover you didn’t need
I’ve been a WEB Griffin fan since 1991. I miss his writing.
One of the largest flaws in this book is the math. PK McCoy Jr’s dad is supposed to be a Viet Nam war hero as a fighter ace. Well, since he was born in November 1950. 18 years old in 1968, four years at Annapolis makes 1972, 6 months minimum for fighter pilot training makes January 1973. That’s when the Paris accord agreements were signed. So he couldn’t have been a fighter ace. It’s details like this that fans of Mr Griffin notice. He does such a great job of historical fiction.
This book is just fiction that brings characters from “The Corps” and “Presidential Agent” together. The book is meh, just that.
